Frequently Asked Questions

What activity factor should I choose?

Sedentary (1.2): desk job, no exercise. Light (1.375): light exercise 1-3 days/week. Moderate (1.55): moderate exercise 3-5 days/week. Very Active (1.725): hard exercise 6-7 days/week. Extra Active (1.9): very hard exercise, physical job.

How accurate is the steps-to-calories conversion?

The conversion is approximate and assumes walking pace. Actual calories burned depend on walking speed, terrain, and individual efficiency. Use this as a starting point and adjust based on real-world results.

Should I exclude steps from my activity factor?

Check "exclude steps" if your activity factor doesn't include your daily walking/steps (e.g., if you selected "sedentary" but walk 10,000+ steps daily). This prevents double-counting your walking calories.
